Multiphysics Simulation and Surrogate Models for Faster Apps and Digital Twins

April 24, 2024 Kongens Lyngby 13:00–16:00

Back to Events Calendar

During this workshop you will develop a foundation for your future multiphysics modeling work. We start at an introductory level, going through the essential steps needed in all analyses: geometry creation, meshing, model setup and postprocessing. Then we continue with how to make faster simulations using advanced function approximation, such as Deep Neural Network (DNN), to create a surrogate model. The surrogate model can be used for apps or in digital twins.

Topics included:

  • Use and understand the key features of COMSOL Multiphysics®
    • Geometry, materials, physics, mesh, solve and postprocessing
  • Create a surrogate model based on DNN
  • Results & visualization
  • Cluster computing
  • Running a simulation app in the cloud or compile to stand-alone exe-file

Join this workshop to learn more about COMSOL Multiphysics® and how surrogate models and simulation apps can be used for product and process development, design, and in digital twins.

Hands-On Session

To get the most out of the hands-on session, we recommend bringing a laptop to the event. This will also allow you to start your free two-week trial license of the COMSOL Multiphysics® software right away. Unable to bring a laptop to the workshop? No worries, you can still follow along with the demonstrations.
