Delamination within layers of laminates of composite

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

How is it possible to model a delamination within layers of laminates of composite material? I understand it is usually done by de-merging of nodes at the common boundaries of both layers to create a void of zero volume. How is it possible to de-merge nodes for certain length of a common boundary in COMSOL?
Is it possible by using assembling of geometries and creating pairs?
I'll be greatful if somebody can help me.
