Error in Periodic boundary condition for a composite

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am using comsol 4.0a to implement periodic boundary condition for a composite. I applied the PBC through establishing boundary similarities and then using pointwise constraints on the boundary. It gives me an error stating that the extrusion coupling failed: no source point found.

Can anyone please elaborate what does this error mean and how to overcome this?

Thanks a lot.

Best
Lakshmi.

Hi,

Maybe you have set the constraint on the source boundary. You should only do it for the destination boundary where the linear extrusion operator is defined.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I did not impose the point-wise constraint on the source boundary. But I found a way to make it work with periodic boundary conditions itself by editing the equations related to it.

Thanks.
