Boundary Conditions of PDE weak form in COMSOL v4.2

Hi,

You guys have helped me solved lots of problems in the past few days, Thanks. I am now trying to set up a 3D COMSOL model of Stationary Structural Mechanics using PDE weak form (Just for fun).

It's a steel rod fixed on one end and an input force is applied on the other end.

For the boundary conditions:
1) Fixed end: I add a constraint, but cannot figure out what's the meaning of "R". When I click the drop-down menu "Equation", I feel even more puzzled. What's the "g_reaction" and "miu"?

2) Boundary Force: In COMSOL 3.5, the boundary force is applied using weak form on a surface (or surface integral). But I can only find "Weak Contribution" in COMSOL 4.2, are they the same thing?

I find a PDE video tutorial on website. It's a heat transfer problem based on an existed PDE expression such that we only need to edit the coefficient. Do you have any models for PDE weak form simulation, recommended books or materials for COMSOL 4.* version?

Thanks very much

Dan
