Turbulent flow & heat transfer coefficient, h

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi!

I have a model with airflow over a surface that has uneven temperature. Flow is driven by natural convection (buoyancy forces). How to find what h value (heat transfer coefficient) this is equivalent to?

One suggestion is to plot ht.ntflux/(ht.Tu-ht.Tref) on the solid surfaces facing the airflow. According to handbook, h should be approx. 5-20. However, I get values ranging from -5E15 to +5E15.

What is wrong?

Kind regards, Robert Gustavsson
