Hi every body,

in "heat transfer in solids" interface settings, in the "physical mode" tab there is "surface to surface radiation" option. does COMSOL includes "surface to surface radiation" in calculation by only selecting this option in this menu?

Hi

as often the reply is yes and no:
Adding radiative exchange requires that you need to ensure you material data have the corresponing characteristics, and that you have defined BCs correctly for the radiative exchange. The most delicate issue with radations is mostly the definition of the "view" factors

Good luck

Hi Ivar
please tell me about correct BC in radiation problems.
thank you
