How to Sweep and Compare Materials in COMSOL Multiphysics

Deciding which materials will perform best, subject to your design and performance requirements, is an important part of product development. As a result, selecting and then testing different materials is oftentimes necessary. When using simulation software, this means re-solving a simulation multiple times. Instead of having to manually change the materials specified in your model and re-solve your simulation each time, you can automate this process in COMSOL Multiphysics by performing a Material Sweep.

A Material Sweep study solves your model with materials that you specify and provides you with comparative results of how those materials affect your model. This is done by adding a Material Switch node, specifying the materials to switch between, and then adding a Material Sweep to your study.
