Software Developer - Visualization

We’re seeking a skilled Software Developer to contribute to the development of algorithms and rendering code for COMSOL Multiphysics, a leading modeling and simulation software.

In our Stockholm office, we develop the core functionality of our multiphysics product family, used worldwide in research and development (R&D) and computer-aided engineering (CAE). Our software enables users to solve complex science and engineering problems, thanks in part to our intuitive and flexible graphical user interface.

Your Role

As a member of our team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the visual experience of our software. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Algorithm Development: Create innovative algorithms and visualization techniques to enhance user experience.
  • Improving Existing Visualizations: Refine and optimize existing visualizations to ensure that they meet the highest standards.
  • Feature Implementation: Take ownership of end-to-end development, from design to deployment. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate visualization features seamlessly.

Qualifications

  • MSc or equivalent degree in computer science or engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in C++.
  • Passion for creating elegant, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Eligible to work in Sweden, preferably already living in Sweden.

Meriting Skills and Experience

  • Experience in algorithm design and visualization development.
  • Experience with OpenGL, Vulkan, WebGL, or similar APIs.
  • Experience with the Java programming language.
  • Experience with CAD software.
