Hello,

i have calculated the same model with comsol 3.5 and with comsol 4.1.
it is a matter of a problem with sound propagation.
and i achieve different results.

Can somebody help me?

Hi

I agree for the same model one should get the same results. But between 3.5 and v4 there are a few conventions that has changed, check the release notes. And I do not fully trust the direct "automatic" translation of a 3.5 file loading it into a V4, I always rebuild them from scratch. What did you do ? And can you be slightly more precise.

So far my results correspond, but I haven't redone my hundred of models systematically all in V4, just a few

Good luck

I have found differences between v3.5a and v4.0a in conjugate heat transfer. The wall function turbulence models in v3.5a and earlier were not accurate for the wall temperature. This was documented at last year's conference:

Thanks for your answer.
I have calculated the acoustic pressure level of a sphere source in the free field.
The pressure level related to the distance to the source is different between 3.5a and 4.1.
