Modeling material through strain energy density function

Hi,

I am wondering if we can model the constitutive property of a material through its strain energy density function in COMSOL. A related question is, how can we model a generalized Rivlin material? This post is somewhat related to my earlier post titled "Arbitrary constitutive model" for which Ivar had an interesting answer.

Thanks,
Deb

Yes you can use a strain energy density function. Check the following documentation:

Structural Mechanics Module > Structural Mechanics Modeling > Material Models > Hyperelastic Materials
