material orientation for anisotropic material

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

When I tried to add let say Silicon to my 2D model (with x- and y- axes), there are varies of orientations to choose: <110> axis;<100>axis etc...

Does the material orientation that i chose corresponding to the x-axis in my model? Does that mean the y-axis of the chosen Silicon in my model will be in <001> direction?

Thanks!
